Freddie's Family - Mora

Food was good, service wasnt. We all got breakfast which was good but it seemed as though the only people that were given attention, were regulars. We werent offered anything other than water but looking around, that seemed normal. Never got our check, just told to go up front. Server seemed to be having a bad day which we understood but was a huge turn off for somwhere new to us.

We rented the banquet room for a luncheon to celebrate and remember my dad, who passed away in December. We chose Mora as a general location since it’s pretty much half way between Up North and The Cities. I started researching available space in the area and Mark was by far the easiest to work with and gave us the best quote. The space was perfect for what we needed, the food was outstanding, and we had the perfect level of service. We did the soup and salad buffet and people really were commenting on how good everything was- quality meats and cheeses, great soups made with fresh ingredients, and outstanding cakes. The room is nicely set up and it never felt overcrowded. I think we had about 80 people.All in all, the perfect venue for our needs. Can’t say enough good things about the place, the staff, or the food. All was excellent.

I watched two groups of people walk out because after 20 minutes of waiting to get menus go one waited on them. We had to wait over 15 minutes to get our check. Saw our waitress a total of 3 times.The food was good, if you are okay with waiting a while.

This time, chicken was not the greatest, split pea soup was great, but vegetable beef soup was not good and sent back
