I've always liked Panera bread. Good fresh ingredients. Much better than a fast food lunch. I was a little bummed today because they forgot my chicken on my chicken caprese green goddess baguette. Apparently there are two of those sandwiches one with and one without chicken although that choice was not on the menu. I'm not sure if I asked for one with chicken or not when I ordered so I felt kind of bad asking if there was supposed to be chicken on it. I will say the manager apologized, assured me that was what I ordered and quickly made me another sandwich. I had her make it to go because I was short on time. She had no problem accommodating me fresh sandwich and a smile. I truly appreciate that. I'm not usually one to send food back but in this particular case I didn't feel I had a choice. I'm glad it was so easy to resolve and of course I'll be back to Panera again. The employees were all very friendly. Anyway you flip it, it was a really good sandwich and a positive experience. Haven't been to a Panera Bread in years, tonight I was reminded why. More than two hours before the store was scheduled to close they were out of pizza, out of soup I wanted, and even out of pepperoni to make my last choice. The rest of my party was able to settle on their second or third choice items and were happy with the taste and quality. The fact that you have to sit and wait for them to call your name didn't sit well with me either as it was a little loud at our table since there was eight of us.
