I-fish - MONUMENT

I came to NS for work and wanted to go home some fish for my eastern mother. While I stayed in Cape Breton, I asked several locals the best place for some local fish and was quite unanimously directed at Gillis' Shop. Not only was the lady incredibly friendly, but went out of her way to offer advice and ice packs to keep my purchased catch as fresh as possible for people at home. Will definitely return to the island and Gillis'! Ps. Fish was delicious and a big hit home.

The lobster is very fresh and tasty,more important the price is very very cheap.

The staff were fantastic, and I had the most amazing squid and fish cakes I've ever tasted.

We discovered this restaurant last year during our six-month break from Ontario, and I must say that it offers the best-tasting fresh fish I've ever had. I was absolutely thrilled to find it! The staff are wonderful—very friendly and helpful, both in the store and overall.
