Art Of Coffee - Montross

First off, coming in smelled like B.O.. The furniture and decor were actually pretty nice. We went up to the counter and a rude, older lady asked what do you want? Not even a what can I get for you . I politely say can I get a berry smoothie without whipped cream? Does it have sugar? to which she rudely retorts yes, IT DOES. My friend ordered a frozen vanilla drink with espresso without whipped cream. The service was pretty quick, but that didn 't make up for the crappy drinks. They both had a fat dollop of whipped cream when we specifically asked for NO whipped cream. We asked for a spoon to take off the cream and it took them 5 minutes just to give us a spoon. Mine tasted very fake and WAY too sweet. Like, just use real berries, even if they 're frozen. Maybe it wouldn 't end up like a sloppy slur of berries that they serve. I went to throw mine out after a few sips, but they didn 't even have a trash can outside. My friend described his drink as artificially tasting and overly-creamy. Despite the quick service and unique atmosphere, when I go to a restaurant, food/drinks are everything. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Staff was patient and helpful. We stopped every day during our stay in Montrose for coffee. We loved it!

Stopped by this morning on my way through town. I walked in not realizing they weren't open yet--didn't matter! They couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. 5 star customer service. The coffee was great, the breakfast sandwiches were the best I have had in recent memory! Really delicious. Made my daughter a yummy cookies and cream drink. The space is also really lovely and welcoming. They also feature local artists, which I really love and appreciate small businesses that support local artists. Give this place a try, you won't be sorry!

$4 coffee? ridiculous...Rating the tip percentages, lame...Otherwise great place!

Came here with a group of 8, friendly staff, you order food and drinks at the counter. They bring it out to your table and clear the table when done. The speed our food came out was fairly fast, and it was all good, home fries quite tasty. Full service coffee, with a lot of flavors and options as well as alcohol options. Quaint and cheery little place in town!
