フィードバックを提供するThis is a hidden gem in Montreal. Great prices. Great food. And super accommodating staff! We came as a family with our newborn and the staff helped us make extra space on the terrace for our stroller. We had the oysters which is HUGE! Also, the decor inside is stunning and really nice for an evening cocktail out with friends next time. We will be back.Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating and friendly staff.
Several months ago, my partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to have a drink at the bar while we were killing time in the area. We were impressed by the decor and the friendly staff, so we vowed to come back for a meal sometime. Finally, yesterday we decided to try dinner here and we were not let down. We ordered the Calamari, Brussels sprout Caesar salad (which was delicious), French onion soup, and Steak. Everything was delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the service was once again friendly. We enjoyed the vintage style, live plants, and natural light streaming in from the large windows.
The best meal we had in Montreal! We were in town for 5 days on vacation and no one could beat Vallier's Beef Tartare or Salmon Tartare. The Brussel Sprout salad was fantastic, as well as the maple dessert (Pudding Chomeur). It was a little pricey, but worth the experience.
We stumbled upon this restaurant while walking from the W Montreal to Old Montreal and decided to have lunch there one day. The atmosphere was welcoming and it seemed to attract both locals and tourists. The restaurant was quite busy and loud. The service was attentive and friendly, but unfortunately, the food was not up to par, except for the French onion soup which was amazing. The veggie burger and fries I ordered were barely edible. The fries were limp, soggy, and lukewarm. My husband ate some out of hunger, but I found them unappetizing. The veggie burger was small and thin, and the cumin flavor was overpowering. Despite being served on a nice bun with arugula and a Dijonnaise sauce, the overall taste was disappointing. My husband's Brussels sprout Caesar salad was also just okay. As experienced travelers and food enthusiasts, we were a bit let down by this restaurant. However, we both agreed that we would return just for the French onion soup.
It was a pleasant surprise to see a bottle of water already on the table. The service from the wait staff was excellent, as they were willing to converse in English and were very friendly towards tourists. It's worth noting that this restaurant gets busy during lunchtime with local business people. The food was also delicious.
