フィードバックを提供するThis intimate restaurant us just around the corner from the Ritz Carlton. Our dinner was simple, but the taste was quite good. Relaxed service. Simple bistro table. Some wines not available, but the food was really good.
We recently hosted a successful tapas-style lunch cocktail for 35 people in the atrium at Restaurant Ariel. We have been hosting our annual business cocktail lunch or dinner event at this restaurant for many years, and we are always impressed with the first-class service, delicious food, and amazing wine selections.
We recently hosted a party for 32 at Ariel. We interacted extensively with Daniel in the months prior to our event via phone and email as we do not live in Montreal. He is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is very accomodating in terms of special requests and came up with a fabulous menu, which met our every need. Daniel is creative and inventive, and the food was outstanding and beautifully presented. Service was very friendly, attentive and polite. What impressed us most was finding every promise fulfilled. We were at ease during the party and were able to enjoy it fully, as did all of our guests.Compliments were plentiful. The staff is wonderful, especially Alex, who went out of her way to take care of everyone. Many of our local guests vowed to return to Ariel, as it was their first visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Ariel to anyone interested in delectable food in a lovely atmosphere. It certainly exceeded our expectations.
Go for the Chef's choice! Starting with fresh oysters, Glazed octopus, smoked hummus, with pickled Fennel and Gnocchi that were all off the charts. Then the Fresh fried Cornish hen, traditional coleslaw and too many sauces to list that are the house special and should not be missed. If you imagine the best battered chicken you have ever had, you will find this a step up. Finish with a great cheese board and wines at prices for every budget and you have a meal that is meant for royalty. 2nd vbisit in 2 months and I will be back every time I am in Montreal.
We arrived for lunch later in the afternoon on a Friday (2pm, they serve lunch until 3pm) and had the enclosed inner courtyard all to ourselves. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was excellent. The veal bavette (hanger steak) was outstanding, and the wine selection by the glass was impressive. Despite being in the heart of a busy city, it was a peaceful and enjoyable spot for a leisurely lunch.
