The food was quite tasty. Had the orange chicken and broccoli beef. The only con is the portion size. It was so good. I wish there was more to eat. The orange chicken was really tangy. I loved it.
The service was great, very tentative, and the food was perfect. I came here with my son after baseball practice for a quick dinner. We will return :
My sweetie I shared a quick dinner here last night. They were crowded handled the flow well. This is our first dine-in we have used delivery. The restaurant is very pretty clean. The employees are courteous. Please note this rating all my ratings for any Montgomery/Conroe restaurants, for that matter, are skewed for this area specifically). For Montgomery, it 's great! Definitely go here! Compared to other areas in Tx regionally, Taste of China nor most of our other dining choices here in Montgomery Conroe are NOT IN ANY REALM OF THE IMAGINATION 4-5 STAR FOOD. The food is just good ...for here...but not great. Before you get upset, the only reason I am differentiating here is because when I see a place rated as 4-5 stars, I expect a DIVINE CULINARY EXPERIENCE chef curated food. THIS is not THAT! Compared to other chinese in the area, its ranks on the higher end. Now for our food. We enjoyed hot tea, pan fried dumplings that were very light crispy egg rolls w/our entrees. Please note to ask for hot mustard if you want it as it is not served. The pan fried dumplings and egg rolls were delicious! We would come back just for those by themselves! Entrees were General Tso 's chicken Beef on Sizzling Platter which we had them modify to make it spicy). The Tso 's was plated beautifully but the bowl is very difficult to eat out of due to the humongous size of chicken pieces almost impossible to incorporate rice into. They should provide a plate. I used a saucer...not very well. The Tso 's sauce was tasty a bit thick) spicy on its own didn 't require added chili oil. The chicken they serve here in the fried dishes, I most certainly take issue with! While it 's fresh, white meat not fatty), whichI have tried in several of their chicken dishes it 's always these HUGE balls/pieces of meat. Here 's the problem: First foremost, it should be lightly CRUNCHY!!! I also support the POV that a ratio of meat-to-breading-to-sauce is CRUCIAL should compliment the dish. I don 't think they achieve that goal. The huge pieces must be cut up into 4-6 bites. Usually when I order Tso 's/Sesame/orange chicken elsewhere, some pieces must be cut into 2 others are just one crunchy bite. Not these! I also think their breading gets very soggy, very fast. In fact, I have NEVER experienced a crunchy bite on one of these dishes here. The breading is too thin, without any discernable crunch whatsoever. Perhaps rice flour+cornstarch to elevate some crunch here! The entire point in ordering fried anything is the CRUNCH of a batter. Lacking crunch, what 's the point of splurging on fried food?!! Okay, now for the beef. It is served sizzling on an iron platter is pretty. Soooo, this was my last bite of the night it didn 't go well. The beef was super tender the sauce veggies were great but whatever they do to the beef, it didn 't taste like beef texturally or otherwise). My brain my tastebuds were very confused!
Food was amazing, the fact that you can order a combination of meats is awesome. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was great. I will definitely be back.
