Can 't believe the bad reviews on here. We visited back in July as part of a 2 week Cali road trip from the UK and this is still a highlight of the whole trip that we 're talking about. Best sandwich in America was the verdict as we drove down 17 Mile Drive eating and taking in the views! We were hoping to grab and go, so were a bit disappointed at having to wait 20 minutes or so, but the fact that this was the case was clear and well advertised and sitting outside watching the world go by isn 't the worst way to wait. Staff brought the order out when it was ready, pretty much bang on the time they said it would. Food was worth the wait and the wait means that you know heart and soul is going into it!

We stopped here on a Thursday afternoon at 2pm and waited 45 minutes for 1 sandwich off of their planned menu. Absolutely unacceptable. 20 mins to take our order. Insane that the place has staff standing around watching from the sidelines and not taking orders or making sandwiches. When another employee finally arrived she did not assist with the back orders but instead took new orders, increasing the wait time! Will never go here again…

This place was wonderful. The #10 Turkey was a hit. So much that we will be returning this morning when they open to get sandwiches for the drive home……The staff was friendly and helpful. Great place that offers an option to deep fried “wharf food”

Attentive sales associates with a great collection of authentic Italian oils and pasta and cheese. When we visited the store the deli section was closed but the sales lady did let us look for what we needed.

Super friendly Italian deli, located within steps of Monterey Bay aquarium. This is the perfect spot to stop before or after your visit to the aquarium. The sandwiches and sides are delicious, they have beer and wine, and very limited seating.This deli has a selection of several custom sandwiches or you can make your sandwich. The particular sandwich that we got was great. The meats were high quality and everything was fresh. You can also order sides that are made already, they have fresh potato chips, and a selection of drinks, such as beer, wine, juice, and seltzers.The service here was ultra friendly as well. The server was super nice despite this being a busy location. We had a sandwich in less than five minutes and it was made perfectly. Everyone had a friendly demeanor, and it was very welcoming.There is only two or three tables outside, and no seating inside, so this is more of a grab and go spot before or after you go to the aquarium. What we did is we came to the aquarium around 12 and ate here before and then went in afterwards so that we didn’t have the morning crowd and got to explore while everyone was eating.Definitely a good spot. If you’re looking for something quick and don’t want to go to any of the fancy restaurants in the area, prices were fair and it was worth the visit.
