Sizzler - Montebello

The Sizzler in Montebello closed down for over two years, and I’m not sure how popular it was at that time. However, they've recently reopened, and it’s clear that they’ve made significant improvements to the restaurant. My wife and I decided to have dinner there, and we were really impressed. The place looks much nicer, and the food has definitely gotten better.

I opted for the salad bar, and I was pleased to find the food to be quite fresh! A staff member was consistently cleaning the area and restocking items. The salad bar offered a wide variety of choices, although I noticed that the chicken wings I remember from my childhood have now been replaced by chicken nuggets. On the bright side, they still serve their famous cheese toast! The prices are very reasonable, and I noticed there was even a line, which reflects how well Sizzler is serving the community at the moment.

I'm so glad that Sizzler is back! The service was excellent. I did notice that the Salad Bar has been slightly reduced, but the food is still very good. I had steak and unlimited shrimp, and the portion of shrimp I received was so generous that I didn't even need to ask for more. Definitely worth a visit!

Reopening. Great atmosphere, clean and new set up. Self serve fountain drinks and good salad bar variety. Friendly wait staff. Customer restrooms available. Masks still required for entry.

The staff were fantastic, and the table service was excellent, but I had an issue with the meal. I ordered a chicken patty topped with ham and melted cheese, and it looked and tasted like it had been frozen and microwaved. It felt like the food was something a child could have made in the microwave. I checked out other reviews and found that many people were disappointed with the food preparation at this new location. Overall, I left feeling let down by the dining experience.
