Well located, right in front of the harbour. service is average. I didn't try the whole menu, but only pizza and cozze, so my ability to judge is very limited. as always cozze and pizza were good. Maybe the pizza was a bit overcooked at some point, but still good....prices might be a little higher than you would expect, but still not too high. if they are in porto ercole, there is not too much choice in terms of restaurants, so if I ever go back there, I think I could have another attempt.
Just arrived in porto ercole. we have settled in our house (villa scylaupe), but decided to leave our first night in the city. the restaurant was not too busy as the tourist season was not in operation until next week. after being told, service became. provided in a cozy tempo. had to wait for everything (drinks, bread,Meal-ect but only relax after so long journey it was good. Although I have to ask myself why everyone is rated a 2 euro fee, even if you eat a lot and wein ordered. eating was not bad. personal pizzas were about 10 rounds. calzones were huge, piping hot, best I had in a long time. my man had a mixed pasta with seafood, which was very good. I would recommend this restaurant for the view (a table outside) and calzones.
It completely defines the poor restaurant scene of porto ercole. because it enjoys a great location and it is often full for unknown reasons. the owner might believe that he does not have to offer decent food or good service. bad food quality, boring offer, unacceptable. service, maybe a simple pizza margherita ok-ish, but the remaining 90% of the menu is not. they stay home
We stayed at the hotel Il Pellicano for our honeymoon and were looking for a rustic, easy going, genuinely italian dinner. We were recommended this restaurant by several different local sources but almost cancelled due to all the negative reviews here. We are very happy...we didn't! This restaurant was the only fully crowded one despite low season, and we were the only foreigners there! The atmosphere was very enjoyable and the service was very friendly. This was exactly what we were looking for after being saturated with high end italian cuisine at our hotel. We followed instructions and only ordered pizza so can only vouch for those but they were really good. Slightly thicker crust than you may usually find outside of Italy but this is genuine Napoli style.
