So, my friend and I tried to go to dinner to celebrate my birthday for several months that was in July! I live in Silverlake, she lives in Monrovia. We were finally able to eat together at the diplomat tonight and let me tell you how amazing it was! We shared the fried cauliflower the lamb appetizer, the Greek salad and the lamb hacks, which were ALL incredible! Even the rice that came with the lamb aprons was mouthwashed b I commented it had to have butter in it and they said it did?t and I was totally shocked because it tasted so buttery! I don't know what they're doing, but it was the best I ever had. The lamb dogs were so tasteful! I had lamb chops from so many different places and I must say that these were the best I have sunk my teeth into! So incredibly moist and tasteful! The owners Lucy and Joey were phenomenal! So hospitable and incredible conversations with both about their trip to Monrovia. And our server Stephanie was so happy to meet and so courteous she can say she enjoys what she does. It seems like a family-oriented place and neighborhood favorite. I will definitely return! a hidden treasure and I am so glad My friend has brought me to it!
Fabulous Mediterranean food with one of my favorite desserts! They also make a terrific old fashioned! Wonderful selection of vegetarian options on the menu. There is indoor and outdoor dining as well as takeaway.
Great food, great drinks! Make sure you try the cauliflower appetizer, it's fantastic! My favorite mojitos in Monrovia! Always enjoy coming here!
Located in Old Town Monrovia off Myrtle Ave, this hidden gem is a place to try. I don't usually eat Mediterranean food or vegan but I gave it a shot and they didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, though a little excessive on the rice portion. Great decor and staff. Will come back again. Not sure why Myrtle Ave isn't busier during the weekends. Great food, bars and shops to catch your eye.
