Lots of great vendors and musicians. Restaurants close as early as 9pm to 10pm.
The Friday night market in Monrovia has been established for a long time, very famous and many tourists. Every Friday night, all kinds of small shops open on the road here. The roads are all closed, and only pedestrians can walk in. Of course, they can also bring dogs. There are many special snacks here, and you can taste various flavors. The biggest feature is that the food here is not only delicious, but also very cheap. This is a great place for the whole family to have fun on weekends.
The city closes off a long stretch of Myrtle Street in Old Town, and the market runs from 5 PM to 9 PM. In addition to the many vendors, there's a large area dedicated to bouncy houses, giant inflatable slides, and a climbing wall that kids absolutely love! However, tonight was a bit disappointing as there were no food trucks, live music, or even a petting zoo, which they usually have. I'm not sure if this was just a one-off occurrence or if that’s the new norm, but it left me feeling a bit sad. I plan to go back and see if I just happened to visit on an unusual night, as the atmosphere felt a little empty. Parking is convenient with several public lots nearby and additional street parking available outside the market area. Overall, it’s a great option for a date night, especially when everything is up and running with food trucks and music. It's definitely worth checking out!
I absolutely love this event every Friday night! It's an energetic and fun street fair with plenty to enjoy. There are food trucks, clothing and art vendors, live music, rides, and bustling restaurants all around. It's a must-visit to truly experience the charm of small-town fun at its best.
