The owner is a big businessman because he always runs around and asks if everything is okay and if the food is good. If an owner is personal with those who eat in his restaurant, it says a lot about who he is. He's a very nice man and I didn't get a single complaint. They do an amazing job over there and their food is also great!
The service was great as was the Greek food. Their frys and rice pudding are to die for. My husband liked breakfast and my gyro plate was very goos.
I rate this the nicest place in Monroe all around! I don’t write reviews often, I had to this time though. I am very critical with most things. Saying that, I was impressed in every way with my dining experience here at Monroe Grill. It started out with the design of the building. Yes it is newer, but at the same time, I didn’t see any loose ends. The construction was perfect, not even any chipped paint lines from taking tape off or anything. Another thing that caught my eye was the handicap sized front door along with wide aisle ways, something you don’t see often. True planning was put into the design. Now we all know the important part is the food though. Trying to decide what to get was hard, after all they had just about everything. From an entire breakfast menu, to appetizers, burgers and sandwiches, salads, gyros, steaks, fish, lamb, desserts, you name it. Along with everything was well priced. Most stuff about $8 $10. A few bigger dinners about $12. I had taken my younger brother out for dinner. We both had one of the fish dinners, which was a bigger one. Myself getting the lake perch, him getting the tilapia (I can’t exactly remember how it was cooked, I think with a lemon glaze). It came with a choice of soup or salad to start, we chose the lemon chicken soup which was pretty good. A choice of a side and then the house veggie came with it. We got baked potatoes and corn. When my food came out I was surprised. Granted it is something little, but my planks were arranged nicely with even some parsley sprinkled on top. Which it was followed up with rice pudding. They had offered to put whip cream and cinnamon on top of the pudding, adding to the nice, thought out, care of work type of presentation they gave all of the way around. The wait staff was kind and had things covered when needed. Another waitress was kind and seemed ready to help when asked a question about lactose in the pudding. I liked to see that while I was there the manager had come around to the tables asking how our meal was. My only complaint, was that I didn’t know the perch was fried. I am not sure if I was unknowledgeable, and perch is often fried? But I usually assume fish is cooked plain or seasoned in some simple way. After all the reason I normally get fish myself, is to eat healthy. Never the less though, for what it was, if that’s what I was craving, it was delicious.
They have the best flaming cheese! I think all there food is good And the staff is allways friendly, the rice pudding is addicting lol
Me and my better half go here at least once a week and have never got something we didn't like. If you like stuffed peppers then you should have their stuffed peppers soup....its delicious!!!
