Mcalister's Deli - Mokena

5 star rating?? Wilmington?s is a cozy but seriously charming Deli. Embedded in the Homiest of the cities of Mokena,IL. I was greeted by a wonderful aroma of freshly cut meat as soon as I went through the door. Unlike most delis, ham was phenomenal. The tea should die. I'll come back!

My chopped salad was excellent! Everyone liked their meals. You have no coffee I drink several times a day. I would have chosen Diet Pepsi BUT, they only carry coke products. Game changer. Go on. Service was great. Everyone was friendly and fast. Nice Deli.

We had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible. When I placed my order, they were out of half of the items we requested, including cheese for a salad. I decided to pick another salad that was a little more expensive, and the manager actually took the time to calculate the price difference—an astounding 67 cents. To make matters worse, she never approached us to apologize or acknowledge the issue with their inability to fulfill orders. It's not our fault the restaurant couldn't provide basic items like cheese. Additionally, the manager had a noticeable bad attitude, which reflected poorly on how she treated her staff. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

We love to order from here, but amazed how stingy gets them with the portion sizes. Order a cup of Mac and cheese and expect a cup. That's all you get. This is not the first time that it has been the 5 or more jobs, so it is no fuke, it is the manager stingy to save a dollar and profits. Not sure if this is a company restaurant or franchise, but they are seriously back to portion sizes. Sad as we like the food and the elections, but $12 for a sandwich and the side is just a spoon.

The Reuben sandwich and chicken tortilla soup I ordered were both excellent.
