Athenaeum - MODENA

We went in here by chance, it was Monday and everything else was closed, and we immediately fell in love with this cozy local hangout. Of course they have Lambrusco, but they also have 5-6 other wines through the glass and a great cellar beer. The bartender and the regulars have made us feel at home. Beverages are all aperitivo style, so get a little snack with everyone, some salumi and bread usually, and it is super good. You also have delicious lunch options.

Nice place where to drink, surrounded by students especially during the week. Tourists are welcome. I especially like the interior design with some vintage objects

They really make big tequila sunrise and sex on the beach. Also the homemade tequila was great. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, not pretentious at all. Only good tasting alcohol at a good price!

Amazing bar for locals with the best owner / bartender. He made great wine recommendations and gave us free meat and cheese and spoke perfectly English. One has to stop if you want to avoid tourist traps and feel a local bar.

Great little neighborhood bar. The proprietor was super welcoming and the value of the place is amazing. Great music selection and it had a local favorite vibe. Can't wait to come back.
