Civic Park Family Restaurant - MODBURY

The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was very good and prepared professionally as expected. We also had a reasonable view from where were seated of the park. All in all a good experience and we have revisited several times for dinner since.

We have been eating at Civic Park for many years. So why do we keep coming back? We enjoy the setting with large windows facing out onto Civic Park. We always get a warm welcome from Sammy who is very friendly and an efficient manager. Our meal is buffet style, and there is an excellent selection to choose from. I enjoy the sweet and sour pork with the special fried rice, and the outstanding pavlovas. This is essentially a Chinese restaurant, and it amazes me that they provide such an excellent dessert range. Finally we like the price – it would be hard to find better! All good reasons for us to keep returning.

This restaurant offers wide range of dishes at an affordable price. On the day we dinned they had many varieties of desserts , sea food sushi, different types of salads.it cost AUD 23.50 for an adult and water is included.There is beautiful park nearby. You can have a big meal and walk little before going home.Car parking spaces are limited.

First & only time here very average & over priced. The hot food area was messy definitely give it a miss.

This is a self-serv restaurant, catering for adults, families, large groups, waitresses looking after drinks and clearing unwanted dishes from the table. I have seen tour buses stop here and swelling the number of guests already inside, but assume such occasions are always pre-booked to avoid disappointment. There is adequate, if not ample parking in front of the restaurant. It is very popular with the higher age groups, often friends from younger times making this their regular meeting place. The food favours AsianChinese cuisine, but providing choice also of more traditional Australian fare. In addition to a selection of hot foods, meats and vegetables, there are salads on offer, including seafood salads, with starters also including a choice of three different soups, at lunch always Mushroom, Pumpkin and Chicken-Corn soup, all three delicious and making one's choice hard. There is also a bar for drinks, and bottomless coffee or tea for after the meal. The dessert is also presented with plenty of choice, including lots of fresh fruit, as well as tempting sweet treats like a giant Pavlova. Lunch here, you will not go away hungry!
