The food at this restaurant was good. As someone from California who knows Mexican food, I found it to be a little different but still delicious. The service was excellent, and I would recommend dining in for dinner. The price per person ranged from $10 to $20. Overall, I would give the food, service, and atmosphere a rating of 5. I recommend trying dishes such as the Fajitas for Two, Chips and Salsa, Salsa, and Enchiladas.

During a recent road trip, my wife and I decided to stop for dinner. The food at this restaurant is amazing. My wife ordered the Tamales and immediately declared them to be the second best she had ever tasted. The first place Tamales were made by a dear friend's mother. If you find yourself in Mitchell, South Dakota craving authentic Mexican cuisine, there is no doubt that El Columpio is the best option.

The posole was fantastic and the veggie burrito was the best we've had in a long time. The service was very friendly and the chefs working behind the grill were skilled professionals. Overall, we rated the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.
