フィードバックを提供するArirang is one of the few restaurants that I go to for korean bbq, situated in an asian vendor mall in Mississauga. I have enjoyed the food here a few times and they are consistently good. They have a variety of korean dish options. The restaurant is reasonably nice inside. The clientele I've seen are almost all asian and which imo is an indication that the food is authentic and good. One can order off the menu from which there is a large variety of korean meal choices. There is also an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) option priced well for what is offered. The all-you-can-eat koran bbq option is a very nice option but be aware they bring a large amount and variety of raw meat to the table for the first serving. So if you didn't want chicken or pork or seafood, for example, this option may not be for you. One may be able to get specific dishes for the very first serving, but you will need to ask before ordering. The amount of food provided in the first serving is huge and most people won't need to order more meat dishes. There is a nice variety of accompanying side dishes and while small, one can simply and easily ask for more if needed. The AYCE option includes pork, chicken, beef, squid, mussels, salad, rice, and other side dishes. See my attached pictures for the AYCE first serving. The in-table heating grill is very efficient and can be set quite hot. I find it much easier to cook the food here than most other korean bbq restaurants I've been to. A big plus. Make sure you have time to eat and are in no rush, it takes a while to cook and eat all the portions. The restaurant is open to 10:30 pm for later meals as well. Definitely recommended.
Slow service, food was mediocre, price is over-priced for the quality. restaurant interior looks nicer than a hole-in-the-wall so maybe that's what you're paying for (?).
This restaurant is a good choice for Korean BBQ and other Korean dishes. While there are better options in Mississauga, the restaurant is spacious and convenient.
Food, bland. Service, rude, dishonest, disinterested.Staff, suspicious.I stopped in to visit friends who were dining there (AYCE bbq for ~25$). I informed the waitress I was not eating. We were at a table for four and I was not taking up any potential paying customer spots. Had we known what we were in for, we would not have come. I was told I had to eat. I told them I had allergies and was full. the waitress said the manager's are very paranoid and if they catch me, they will make me pay. OMG for $25?! I'm not sure what kind of clientele they are used to, but that speaks volumes about the establishment. The manager then came out (I guess the waitress ratted me out) and decided to "retake" my order. I repeated what I told the first waitress, but was told I had to eat. I ralented and asked for the a la carte menu from which I ordered the beef. She then seemed placated and said, "Ok one beef, and four buffet[s]." I'm not sure why she repeatedly didn't "understand" -her english was fine. Why would I order something a la carte in ADDITION to the buffet which had that item?! I clarified that I only wanted the a la carte. She told me that is not possible, everyone at the table has to have the buffet. I asked to be seated at an adjacent table and was told I could not be as it was a table for 4 -despite the place being half empty.I reluctantly agreed only to have the buffet. I then proceeded to order 18 trays of beef (sure to my detriment), determined to cost them more due to their selfishness. Rest assured, I threw most of it out. They seemed quite angry and rude in taking my continual orders. What was most egregious was that they repeatedly turned down the heat when we were not paying attention (presumably to slow down the cooking -hence ordering). They did not change our grill once though they changed others'. The food quality itself was extraordinarily poor. there is so little meat on the ribs that they seem like scraps you'd feed a dog. The beef has virtually no spice and I had to make my own marinade from soya and hot sauces. The salad and kim chi were acceptable. Did I mention they have a strict last-call with 1.5 hours to eat -in a mostly empty restaurant?I guess the lesson is if you see your customers to be monkeys, then that's how they'll behave. Honestly I think very few people would take advantage of their buffet -I've never had this issue at other buffet/a la carte restos. And if they had "caught" me, I'd pay -problem solved. I think I'll come back with my football playing friends and show them how to truly lose money.Highish prices for mediocre (at best) food, coupled with poor, rude service make this a must-pass. Greed over all else is not the way to run a restaurant.
I tried this restaurant for the first time and had the pork bone soup, which was delicious. I decided to visit again, but was disappointed by the unfriendly staff. Unfortunately, I will need to find another place for pork bone soup due to this negative experience.
