The Country Bakery - Minden

We dropped in to this little bakery while touring the area and picked up some dessert squares and a few steak, turkey, and chicken pies. They were excellent. Lots of nice chunks of steak with no veggie fillers and great pastry crust. So good in fact that before we headed home, we had to drop in to take some meat pies home with us. They are frozen so it was easy to put them in the cooler for the trip home.

As a senior I have been to many a bakery and the chelsea buns at this bakery rate as my all time favourite. The dough is light a flavourful with a generous amount of topping. I also bought the savoury potato square which lived up to it,s name. The cheese bread was good, but could have been lighter. Worth a stop and a purchase.

Fresh baked goods at an ok price. Great coffee and great staff. Nice porch to sit and relax with a good cup of coffee or whatever your pleasure. Coming soon apparently is fresh then frozen prepared meals. Sounds good????????????☕️

Best bakery I've been to! Its so cute but with a wide selection of healthy and dessert-y options! Lots of fresh bread, bars and cakes. The staff is very cheerful (and they dont believe in the unethical sale of bottled water, yay!) The smores bar, scones and buttertarts are especially delicious along with the rhubarb pie for my family that was gone in two days. Would recommend for anyone passing by.

It is so hard to find an excellent country bakery but this one hits the mark perfectly! On a recent vacation at our nearby cottage, I found I was going back...and back...and back. With my bill getting higher and higher as I bought more and more! As with all bakeries, I found it excelled at certain items - the pies are amazing, wonderful rich buttery scones, fabulous apple turnovers, great butter tarts, excellent squares. Have had a cottage in the area for about 15 years and this is the best bakery I have found. The cafe portion is very small, only a couple of tables. But a great takeout bakery, definitely worth a visit!
