This isn't typically a restaurant I would choose, but compared to others, it's not too bad. The atmosphere is nice, although the brown water in the toilets and sinks made me hesitant about the water I ordered with my meal. I forgot to request my soft shell tacos without lettuce, but I was able to pick it off and still enjoy the meal. The Asada was a bit too seasoned and greasy for my taste, but it was still edible. It seems like it might be a newer establishment.
As for kid-friendliness, we had a few children under three with us, and the staff were fantastic with them. One of the kids devoured his chicken nuggets and fries, and you can't go wrong with queso dip—it’s always a favorite with the little ones!
We are frequent flyers at El Agave. The salsa is on point, so are the margaritas! The restaurant itself has some wear and tear but the service is fast and the food is reliably delicious. And reasonably priced. My husband always gets the Burrito Grande and I don't think he'll ever change. It was love at first bite.
Mexicana burrito was roast beef. Cheese dip was watered down, water had a hint of soap. Tacos were good, but no flavor combined on the entire meal. We had cheese dip, tacos, Mexicana burrito and rice and beans and an enchilada which was flavorless except the corn tortilla. Bathroom has no soap, and was very dirty. We were traveling and this was a disappointing experience.
