フィードバックを提供するChef and Butcher offers a mix of positive and negative experiences according to recent reviews. Some guests were disappointed with the quality of the Wagyu cuts, while others raved about the fantastic steak experience. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming interior, perfect for a date or gathering with friends. However, there were concerns about slow service and limited accessibility. Overall, Chef and Butcher is recommended for those looking for a stylish yet casual dining experience in Nishi-Azabu.
I ordered the Wagyu, but the cuts were not up to the quality I was expecting and requested. They were still okay, but lacked the marbling I was hoping for. Unfortunately, my wife's order of fillet was unavailable. The steak was served rare on a hot plate, a common practice in Japanese restaurants, but the plate did not stay hot for very long.
Had a fantastic steak experience at this restaurant. The entrance is located off the main road, making it quiet and unassuming. The interior is warm and welcoming, with a simple design. We definitely plan on returning in the future.
I decided to try the Wagyu at this restaurant, however, I was disappointed to find that the cuts were of lower quality than I expected. They were still acceptable, but lacked the marbling I was hoping for. My wife ordered the fillet, but they were out of stock. The steak was served rare on a hot plate, a common style in Japanese restaurants, but unfortunately the hot plate didn't stay hot for very long.
On a rare visit to Tokyo, I set up a date to meet a friend. Although I was over half an hour late, my friend was waiting for me downstairs with a lemon beer. It looked good, but I went with a Kona beer and it did not disappoint. After choosing a petite spinach salad and an adorable plate of heart-shaped mozzarella with baby tomatoes, we were ushered upstairs where we could enjoy a long conversation over an excellent Pinot Noir and a small plate of delectable grilled meat. The best thing about Chef and Butcher is the food, followed by the service, which was attentive yet unobtrusive. However, it was a bit slow that night, perhaps due to a party downstairs. The atmosphere is country charming with outdoor seating available. Besides the small portions for the prices, the only drawback I can see is the lack of barrier-free access. Go here for a date, a party, to entertain friends or just to taste some really tender, juicy meat! All in all, I can highly recommend Chef and Butcher for a stylish yet casual visit to Nishi-Azabu.
Fabulous steak experience. Entrance off main road; quiet and unassuming. Warm and welcoming, simple interior. We will be back
