フィードバックを提供するIt was wonderful visiting B’s restaurant, having incredibly tasty dishes and being able to talk about daily life and philosophy in his vivid yet ambient restaurant. You should ask him about his opinions on Zen Buddhism and how it can be found deeply in nature and time itself! Thank you and see you again my friend
It was our first time trying Indian food as a family, so I can’t tell if the food was authentic or not. We ordered 3 sets of 1200yen lunch combo with grilled chicken, the nan was good, but the chicken was very dry. Chicken butter/spicy curry were good. My husband got the 1180yen combo which supposed to come with a dessert, but he never got it. They also overcharged us. The total of our bill was 5360yen, and the owner charged us 6620yen. I didn’t realize it until we walked out the door. I went back and asked him about it, he said it was the tax. So every price on their menu is tax excluded?? I’ve lived in Japan for over a year now and it’s the first time seeing a menu like this. The owner said the tax was 10% so I added another 536yen, the total was still 724yen less than what I paid. The excuse given by the owner didn’t make sense to me. I would not recommend this restaurant. If you HAVE TO eat here, make sure to DOUBLE CHECK your bill.
Fresh, delicious, hearty meals! Owner of restaurant is extremely friendly welcoming. My favourite memory from our fortnight in Tokyo is sitting in at Downtown B’s at 10pm after an exhausting day walking the streets of Shibuya… was so brilliant to have the option to eat delicious Indian food out in Roppongi so late at night (unlike in Australia where everything shuts much earlier . As a family of 4 vegetarian Aussies, Downtown B’s was a saviour for us (especially our daughter who ate here 4 nights out of the week we spent in Roppongi We’ve booked a trip back to Tokyo next year and will for sure hit up Downtown B’s during that time for another delicious enjoyable dining experience :
I don’t even know where to begin on this review. I’ve traveled over 20 countries eating in Michelin stars and hole-in-the-walls. This is a top 5 dining experience for me. The owner, Bonnie, is a kind soul who went out of his way to make me my own special curry when informing him I was allergic to some of his ingredients in his butter chicken but was eager to try it. My friend had additional food restrictions and Bonnie ensured us that he would personally oversee we were taken care of. The food was absolutely phenomenal, especially for the price. As other reviews say, this is a very intriguing place. It’s not a fancy restaurant, it’s a small, intimate hole in the wall, it almost feels like you’re in Bonnie’s kitchen. Food aside, Bonnie ended up sitting with us and discussing all different aspects of life. A true man of food, culture, and friendship. It was a wonderful way to end our last day in Japan. I will absolutely be returning to eat here. Never change, Bonnie!
Best Indian Food and, of course, the lovely restaurant owner, Mr. Bobby Nan are one of kind in the world. Place is a must to visit and eat in Roppongi/Tokyo We had lovely chat about life in genarall: Best regards from Pole in Norway:
