Tequila Real - Milton

My son and I came here with high hopes, as we had heard good things about this restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t meet those expectations.The restaurant was busy when we arrived, around 6:20pm, but we were able to get a seat relatively quickly. However, once seated with menus, it took about 10-15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. We ordered drinks and food all once so we wouldn’t have to wait again.The restaurant atmosphere was typical of a Mexican restaurant, but the outdoor seating had a nice waterfront view.Drinks came, and we saw other tables that were seated after us served food before we ever got ours. We finished snacking on the complimentary chips and salsa while waiting for our food (salsa was good, chips were incredibly stale). It was another half hour for our food to come. I got the carne asada street taco platter and my son got the hamburger and fries from the kids menu. The food was mediocre, neither good or bad. So can’t complain too much.The server never came to check on us after serving our food, we sat with empty plates for a while. When she finally came over I asked for our check.I have mixed feelings. Our server, although very untimely and inattentive, was friendly.We will likely return to give it another shot. But for now I can only give three stars.

Great Mexican food. Friendly service. We had an outside table overlooking a lake. Strong Margueritas. I love this place. I've been there 3 times, and it is consistently great!

Service was ok but food was horrible. This would be that one time you'd be better off going to get fast food. The food didn't taste right, small proportions, overpriced food, everyone sits to close together and so on.

Best kept secret (kinda.. of really great Mexican food! Enchiladas, guac, and the margs are particularly my favorite, but I've always walked away full and happy no matter what I had! Very affordable, silly large portions, and great service!
