If you go on a Sunday afternoon, be ready to wait! If you go too early right when they open, you might miss some popular items because they're not done cooking yet. The parking situation can be chaotic b/c it's in a busy plaza. I love getting the hac cao, Shu mai, shrimp banh cuon, chicken feet, jellyfish, and chao with the Chinese donuts. I always leave satisfied and full. I took a star off for cleanliness because the bathrooms are a little gross for my liking and I always find myself wiping down the chopsticks, cups plates that are placed at our tables.
This place is closed during shelter-in-place and do not order pick up or delivery through Yelp/Grubhub. You will get an order confirmation and even order is ready to pick up. But NOOOO, it 's closed.
I was super excited to come with my husband and his family for a dim sum breakfast. Sadly it was a disappointment due to the service. We had a large group and they sat us way in the back. My mother-in-law requested taro for my nieces to eat since they are picky. She asked 5 times before finally when our table was done with the meal they brought it. It was very frustrating because the girls were starving and being as patient as they could. Another reason why I rate this restaurant so low is how the cart people treated our table. They would just walk by without asking if we wanted anything: 1) to avoid being asked where the taro was 2) they were busy talking with people at another table. When they did come to our table there was no explanation as to what some dishes were. The food was okay. I did enjoy some of the dishes I was able to try. We also appreciated how they put our cake in the fridge to keep cold. However, if took forever to receive the bill but as soon as the the card was place they took it swiftly, only to make us wait forever for them to return my card. All in all I think I will pass on coming back to this place for dim sum.
Good place for dim sum. Apparently this place is pretty popular because there are tons of ppl waiting outside on a busy Sunday. The wait wasn't too bad. Even though there was a lot of people, the wait went by pretty quickly. We were inside in about 20 minutes. For those of you that have never been to dim sum, be ready, cuz the food comes by quick in carts. And if you want something you gotta let the cart woman know. But be careful, because if you don't tell them clearly that you don't want an item they're trying g to push on you, they'll just put it in your table and stamp your card. Overall, the dim sum was good, and maybe a dollar or two more than other places I've been to, but it was still good.
My parents and I met up here on Christmas morning. We agreed to meet at 10:40 to beat the crowd. It was a wise choice but nothing was really ready by the time we were seated. Granted my parents showed up about 15 min. prior so they grabbed a table and started ordering. When Gavin and I arrived we saw 2 orders of fried shrimp balls and 2 orders of the shrimp stuffed mushrooms w/ black bean sauce on the table. Gavin waited long for the steamed tripe but I must say that even though the kitchen appeared rather slow this one sweet Vietnamese woman helped us by keeping an eye on what we want then grabbing it for us before it had a chance to be stacked on the carts for everyone else to pick and enjoy. I can't complain because these folks were working on a holiday. P.S. Parking sucks. P.P.S. If you don't want to wait, come 30-40 min. after they open.
