フィードバックを提供するI'm back in Milano but this time with the whole family (2 kids). Walking around the centre with stumbled in Pizza+Cucina. We asked if it was okay us 4 and the staff promptly set everything up (keep in mind there's a rather narrow staircase going up to the restaurant, so the stroller stayed down while we had lunch). The whole staff helped us out with the stroller and everything else. Pizza is the thin kind, and we also took some very good falafel. Good food in general. I was also surprised it wasn't crowded at noon on a Saturday.
Long wait on Saturday evening. The atmosphere was crowded. The service was slow but the food was excellent. The location was good.
With a business colleague we were wandering from the Duomo looking for both somewhere for a drink, and separately somewhere to eat. We settled here, almost by accident and sat on the sofas on the pavement. In the July heat it was good that these were cooled and misted. The pizzas we had were both excellent. Extremlely thin, crispy and with plenty of tasty topping. This wasn't Pizza Hut. I would happily eat here again. We accompanied it with a bottle of local beer. The prices are still Milan city centre prices though. Not much that can be done about that.
The only positive thing that can be said about this establishment is that it has a beautiful terrace. The food is an utter let down. A salmon pizza has a 7 cm outer rim of baked pizza dough with absolutely nothing on top. The center section consists of 4 thin slices of salmon and a bit of cheese sauce. The chicken in the chicken cuscus is dry enough to be easily mistaken for wood shavings. The prices would make even George C. Parker blush: 16€ for the salmon pizza , 8€ for a draft of Beck 's and 6.5€ for a glass of pinot. The icing on the cake has to be the waiters ' attitude: if one decides that abysmal food does not beget a tip, whoever returns the change will make a counting mistake i.e. the tip is automatically deducted from one 's change. Unless verging on starvation, do yourself a favour and avoid this place.
The Location is great and it's comfortable as well, unfortunately that was it. The food wasn't great at all. They forgot Gorgonzola cheese on there pizza with Gorgonzola on the menu, we didn't even add it, it was supposed to be on there. The food was cold. But the worst was the service. They were confused, ignorant and not friendly at all. They took us 1€ off the bill for there mistake, how generous! Would not go there for a second time.
