Dar Kenza - Milan

Food: obviously Mediterranean cuisine therefore based on olives, lemon and meat. The mixed starter was very nice but it was the thing I liked least. It consisted of tasting 4 triangles of phyllo pastry filled respectively with vegetables, meat and chilli (bad, I don't eat spicy), tuna and cheese; there was an aubergine cream, a pepper cream with cinnamon and a Moroccan salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, lemon, black olives and coriander). We then took Tajine of chicken and olives (a few olives) and Tajine of beef with plums and sesame (spectacular in my opinion). The meat was really tender and cooked well; the same goes for roasted lamb ribs. The Moroccan desserts were good, fortunately not very sweet but they were few (4 mini desserts per plate). Finally we had Moroccan tea served in a particular way (see video). P.s. I only have Tajine photos and tea videos. I can tell you that the Tajines cost around 15 euros each, tea 3 euros, cover charge 2, mixed starter 12 euros, ribs around 17 euros. Service: super welcoming, kind and perhaps a little long waiting times. Environment: very particular, welcoming and there was even a belly dancer. It pains me to have to leave a negative review. Definitely uncourteous staff, without a hint of a smile. It certainly does not reflect Moroccan hospitality. Really poor food, portion of very greasy and frozen fish, no explanation from the almost annoyed owner. Definitely not good value for money. Harira with an exaggerated puree flavour. No we're not there. We went there encouraged by the positive reviews, in the hope of eating well. There are certainly many other places to eat better Moroccan cuisine.

I tried this restaurant because having a food blog on Instagram I like to travel around and discover new cuisines and I must say that it was a wonderful discovery!
