Pescados - Midlothian

Great food, excellent menu, attentive service, and a simple ambiance. I definitely plan to return!

My friend was pleasantly surprised by the seafood for the first time! She ordered the crab-filled salmon special, while I enjoyed the scallop bowl from the regular menu, which was fantastic as always!

This was my second visit, and I really hope to return again because I can't live nearby. If only we had a restaurant like this closer to us! I was even prepared to break my vegetarian diet during my second trip, but thankfully, I didn't have to. They offered some fantastic vegetarian options that everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed. It was a bit noisy during our visit, but it was a Saturday evening at 7 PM, which is typically the busiest time for restaurants.

1) The menu was small (under 20 options). The server didn’t know the answers to any of our questions about the food. 2) There was a string of lights over our table that were constantly flashing. When we asked our server about them, she said the restaurant was aware and didn’t know what was causing it. Since we were the first and only table there, why would they seat us somewhere else? 3) much of the food was kinda gross. The nachos were cold. My husbands jambalaya-like dish overwhelming tastes like spaghetti sauce out of the jar. My mil’s meal was mostly cabbage with a small amount of meat. My dish was so salty, I was chugging water all night.

Hostess met us at the front and quickly cleared a table and seated us. The food here is incredible. The voodoo shrimp (hot) is one of my favorite dishes ever. Perfect place for a date night.
