I have visited this restaurant twice now, as I am making an effort to enjoy it. I have Celiac Disease, so I appreciate the gluten-free options available. However, the staff is unfriendly and unwelcoming, which makes me want to leave as soon as possible.
The bartender recommended a great IPA for us, but instead we received two pints of a dark, bitter, and overly malty beer that was definitely not an IPA. We were disappointed with the taste and could not finish it. We later found out that the restaurant prides itself on making gluten free beer, which we did not enjoy at all. If that is what gluten free beer tastes like, I hope I never have to become gluten intolerant.
We have a great IPA , the Bartender said as we told her what we liked. She asked if we 'd like to try it. I said yes. I thought she meant a sample. Nope. We get two pints of some dark, bitter, way too malty beer. Best I could find online that looked like it and seem to taste like it was an English something or other. In any event, it was most assuredly not an IPA. I tried to drink it. I hate to waste beer. We both totally wasted this beer and the money it took to get it. I found out too little too late that they apparently pride themselves on making gluten free beer. If that 's what gluten free beer tastes like, please do not let me ever become gluten intolerant. I will have to jump off a bridge. Or at least threaten to.
Not only are the gluten free beers weak. This place has ridiculous hours. The hours posted on the door say 5-10 today and so do the hours online. But alas, nobody answering the phone and doors are locked. Get this dumpster fire off the ale trail. Hard to hit a place thats only open around 12 hours a week anyway
