The best in this place is the portion size: you get enough to be full, but not so much that you need a doggy bag. Otherwise, the views are usually good, although there are some tables that cannot see the lake. It is not a great place to take younger children, as the bathrooms are tiny and the room is relatively narrow. It is also not cheap; Children's meals are 7.50 and quite simple. Even though the portion size is good, it is expensive for what you get. It would be nice if the waiting staff knew the menu a little better (our waitress didn't know what was in the crab cake).
I have dined at Capt Bill's multiple times over the years, and I've never had a disappointing experience. The service and food have consistently been excellent. They serve the best clam chowder and coconut shrimp you'll ever taste. The baked potatoes and steamed vegetables are also fantastic!
I had an amazing experience with their customer service! I accidentally left something behind, and they went above and beyond to make sure it was safe. They were very friendly when I returned to pick it up!
The restaurant was exactly what you would expect from a typical seafood establishment, offering dishes like steak, lobster, fried shrimp, and fish. The clam chowder was quite good, and overall, the food was above average. However, the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Despite having a reservation, we were told we had to wait alongside other walk-in guests. They informed us that the wait would be 45 minutes past our reservation time. The hostess mentioned she wasn't allowed to provide estimated wait times and that only the manager could do that. Fortunately, the actual wait turned out to be much shorter than anticipated. While the experience was fine, I don’t feel the need to return.
