Red Fox Inn & Tavern - Middleburg

Excellent time for my wedding anniversary! Was recommended by 3 of my friends for a special occasion.

Four course meal was delightful- savory dishes were on point. Cornbread and amuse bouche were a delightful surprise. Scallop ceviche and vichyssoise were nice, best item was the red snapper with the corn risotto and my friend's rabbit was also very tasty. The only thing that was a surprise miss was dessert. While the previous 3 courses were well balanced and delicious my chocolate dessert was heavy and dense that I didn't even try to finish it. I was expecting a light chocolate mouse but I had to dig hard to pull it and it just didn't end the meal well. My friends dessert was also lacking the cream cheese in her cake was overpowering would have been better with something lightly whipped like marscapone or whip cream.

We enjoyed the experience very much. The chocolate pistachio dessert was a bit disappointing. No big deal.

The food was extraordinary, superb! Service was excellent, friendly, helpful, and easy. Ambience can't be beaten anywhere. The chef is gifted!!!
