I stopped in omw out and ordered grilled steak with sweet plantain, and steam veg. Food was good.. just wish the took they steak off the grill a little sooner .... but best thing was definitely the staff. everyone was super friendly and helpful with all of my question.. that alone made me give them an extra star.
Very sad this used to be a great place to eat.I bought 2 pan con bisteck and they were dry they didn't even put some ketchup for the fries.

One of four restaurants or places to eat that I was looking for on our Miami vacation. It is located across the more popular Versailles restaurant. It also has limited parking. The restaurant was not crowded. But, we did get there after 10 pm in a Sunday night. From the moment you walk in you can feel the warmth of everyone that work there. We were quickly seated and the waitress came in a matter of seconds. She took our drink orders and appetizer. Garlic bread was brought out a few minutes later. The assorted croquetas were delicious. Then, it took about 15 minutes for our food to come out. My kids had the Palomilla Steak with fries from the kids menu. It was huge. Great value! My wife had the Vaca Frita (Shredded Beef Grilled with Onions and Cuban Mojo. Served with Moros Rice and Sweet Plantains). Both she and I thought it was fantastic. I had the Ropa Vieja (Shredded Beef Cooked with Onions, Peppers and Tomato Sauce. Served with White Rice and Sweet Plantains for the first time, and I loved it! Prices are comparable to Versailles.
The food was horrible, I would never return and only go to Versailles across the street for a great meal. The bread on the two sandwiches ordered were like cardboard, the yucca was like a blob of paste, the regular food that my brother ordered was from a warmer and looked like it was made days ago, food was not even warm, the tostones were like tire patches and probably were fried several time before they were finally served to me. The yucca croquettes were probably frozen, deep fried and sat under a heat lamp for hours we paid our bill and went to Versailles for coffee and dessert
