Got hit with pimento smoke the moment I walked in, I knew this was the real deal. In NYC, the rule of thumb is if you have rude service at a Jamaican restaurant the food is going to be superb; surprisingly excellent service at this place food to match.
Finally! A Jamaican restaurant that doesn't run out of fried dumplings! Food is savory. I enjoy the akee and salt-fish (salted cod) with cooked food (yam, boiled, green banana and boiled dumpling). I usually get a side of fried dumpling and a vegetarian patty and coco bread. The jerk meats are savory and delicious. They always have decadent homemade cakes. There is plenty of space to dine in and soak up some island ambiance. The reggae and dancehall music sets the mood for this unforgettable Caribbean experience.
Jerk chicken was super tasty with rice and peas. Side of mashed potatoes with jerk sauce was amazing… would highly recommend this place …
I explored Miami for the first time and stumbled upon a restaurant around 8 miles away. Trying it out was definitely worthwhile; it became my go-to spot throughout my stay. The service was excellent, the staff professional and friendly, and the food incredibly delicious, making it a memorable experience.
