The salad that accompanied the shrimp was very fresh and crisp, which I appreciated. The portions, especially the tacos, were on the smaller side, but at just $6.95, they came with rice, beans, and a drink, making it a great deal. The salsa was also incredibly tasty. The decor is beautiful and vibrant! We will definitely be returning.
What a fantastic Mexican restaurant! This place is so vibrant and colorful that it really makes me want to visit Mexico! The food is excellent, and the service is decent. I went there on a Wednesday and took advantage of a full-price meal that came with a complimentary dessert. I ordered the chicken enchiladas in the Zuisas style, topped with a special sauce and avocado. I opted for the mild green sauce, and it was so delicious that I requested extra. For dessert, I had fried ice cream, which happens to be my favorite treat at Mexican restaurants. It was one of the best I've ever had! They rolled the ice cream in corn flakes (or something similar) and surrounded it with delightful mounds of whipped cream and chocolate sauce. I also enjoyed a strawberry margarita, which was a pleasant surprise for me as I don't typically drink margaritas. It was refreshing and incredibly tasty. My waitress was courteous and attentive, checking on me just the right amount without being intrusive. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. The restaurant itself is so beautifully decorated that the restrooms seem somewhat plain in comparison. However, if the restaurant weren't so extravagantly adorned, I'd consider the restrooms to be quite nice with lovely tiles. Unfortunately, seat covers were out of stock during my visit, but I appreciated that they had holders available. If I ever have the pleasure of visiting Mesa again, I will definitely return to this restaurant!
When you went to the restaurant, it smells like they have problems with their bathrooms. But as soon as we decided to stay and sit, the food for the wrong first impression. And obviously, even the smell has not prevented others from coming into the din, which says a lot. They had large salsa and chips, tasted as it was made fresh (we had several salsas during our meal). The tamale plate with green corn and beef tamale was full of taste and moist. Both the Chile Relleno Chimi with Shrimp was great as well as the fish tacos. Lunch prices were great and the service was excellent. As soon as they work out the problem of odor at the entrance, I can see that this place goes off with the MCC students on the street.
This is my second visit to Juanas and I can say they did not disappoint. I tried the mini chimichangas appetizer. It had two shredded beef and two veggie (bean and cheese) with pico de gallop, cheese and guacamole and sour cream on top. Yummy! My husband and I both had their shredded beef burrito plate which came with beans and rice. Great serving sizes. We had sodas but they do serve alcoholic drinks. Main and Dobson in Mesa. Give them try.
Oh my! Bad day at work came to relax. Had 2 Coronas, queso fundido and chicken chimi with chili relleno inside. Wow every time I’m having a bad day this is my new spot to cheer me up. Karen was great she answered all my questions and recommended what I eat and she was spot on. Great food, great music, great waitress!!!!
