El Norte Mexican - Meridian

All we ordered was fantastic. We'll go back there. Service was also great.

The restaurant appeared to be very clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The complimentary chips and salsa were good, though it wasn't the best salsa I've ever had; each restaurant has its own style. This salsa seemed to be cooked or heated at some point, which isn't my preference—I favor fresh salsa that hasn't been warmed up. This is why I gave it 4 stars. The Nacho Nortenos were excellent; I chose beef and chicken with added refried beans, and they did not disappoint. The sweet tea was fantastic—it's surprising how many southern restaurants serve it watered down or not sweet enough. This was my first visit, and if I'm in the area again, I would definitely return. Update: I've visited twice more since my initial review, and I wouldn't change anything I said above.

We had a wonderful experience when we first passed through Meridian. The food was fantastic!

Following a rather lukewarm recommendation from our hotel, we were a bit hesitant to dine here. However, I’m so glad we did—it was fantastic! The cheese dip and salsa verde were absolutely delicious, and the margarita was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed the chimichanga and had a great experience overall. The chips were also excellent! The service was efficient, and the prices were very reasonable. If we were in the area again, we would definitely return!
