Vivienne's Bistro - Mercer Island

After enjoying a great dinner at Vivienne Bistro last week, I decided to revisit for lunch. Unfortunately, my experience was not as satisfying. With only two servers for the entire place, the service was slow and the food arrived cold. Despite the food tasting good, I was disappointed that it was not served at the proper temperature. I mentioned this to the server, but they did not make any effort to rectify the situation. Overall, I was dissatisfied with my lunch experience and may only consider returning for dinner in the future.

Vivienne's offers upscale Chinese cuisine that stands out from typical Chinese restaurants. Their menu features unique dishes like the delectable Squid Ink Rice with Seafood. My personal favorite is the Forbidden Duck, which I believe is the best duck in the Puget Sound region. I regularly make the drive from Auburn just to dine at this restaurant.

The food was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was perfect for a family dinner or a romantic night out with my partner!

The forbidden duck was flavorful with crispy skin and pairing with the caramelized lemon added another layer of flavour to it. The buns are fresh. The fish filet was cooked to perfection.

Great food! Husband and I went on a date night and we’re so happy with everything we ordered-sizzling rice soup, 9 flavor beef with basil and honey walnut prawns. Not a huge menu but from what I can tell, the items they have the do and do well! We will be back for sure!
