Sizzler Merced

Merced Sizzler feels like a home away from home. The service is excellent, and the salad bar is quite nice. My friend ordered a meal but couldn't finish the sirloin tips because they were too salty and the rice was mushy. I opted for the salad bar, which was fresh and tasty. We noticed that the sodium content was quite high, so it’s not the healthiest option, definitely not deserving of a 4 or 5 rating. However, Jasmine, our server, was fantastic—always smiling and attentive. We left her a generous tip because she truly went above and beyond.

My wife and I arrived at 6:30, and there was no wait to place our order. Both employees who assisted us and those who served at our table were friendly and respectful. When we sat down, we were offered the classic basket of cheese bread, which we always enjoy. The food arrived hot and was cooked to our liking.

I went there for lunch and found a variety of options, including a Mexican counter, a salad bar, an ice cream station, and a selection of desserts.

Sitting today for my daughter's birthday, was accused and then sitting pretty fast. The waitress gave us our plates for the salad bar. And then disappeared. We waited 20 minutes for our free toast even to be offered. When our food came out, our lobster looked like he just sat on the plate, and they forgot the side of the mash I had ordered. So much time passed that I just have to go. When I went to the salad bar, I noticed that the vegetables were all disposed of, there were onions in the mushrooms everywhere a mess. Very sloppy. I chose a soup when I went to serve me, one was completely empty the other had no name, so I was uncertain what it was. I went to the Taco bar then I decided to get some potato wedges that were all burned. Not only toasty, but completely burned. I paid a good amount for our meals, which I expected to be at least decent. I used to be a big fan of Sizzler, but my disappointment changed me today.

The burgers are a bit pricy but they taste pretty good. My favorite plate is the steak and lobster tail with a baked potato. The salad bar has a good selection but I usually get the clam chowder or broccoli cheddar soup. They no longer have chicken on salad bar. I enjoy their soft served ice cream.
