Grotta Azzurra - MERATE

If you wanna taste a really good pizza, here you can satisfy your appetite. It was a surprise tasting how the Pizza is cocked in this restaurant. Fresh and premium ingredients, coming from the different Italian regions famous for them. The pasta is cooked in a perfect way in a real fire oven. The ambience is ok, and the service is fast and friendly. I suggest to all TripAdvisor community which are passing in this area, to stopping in this pizzeria!

Grotta Azzurra Merate is by far the best pizzeria in Merate including surroundings. It is not just about Christian made and won several competition, it is about the ingredients he uses for the pizza, very high quality, all originals, mostly from south Italy. Wheater is very busy or not the pizza has always the same quality! I personally prefer Marinara 4 pomodori, sott n’coppa’ and alice (without pancetta).

Impossibile to eat together, bad organization for staff and waiters. All of us got the plate in different times, we ate alone. Food was really good quality, but after 2 hours for a single course dinner i am still waiting for the coffee.

Very chaotic location for lunch, food in the norm. for a second and contour and water 11 euro a little tiny.
