The Refuge Menlo Park

The nachos were huge and delicious. Also the (half of a) pastrami sandwich was great! The only drawback was that they were from the IPA that I wanted, but they had much more options on Hahn.

Decided to stop by here on a recommendation from a friend. Place has a very warm atmosphere, the staff have a friendly vibe. Came in during noon lunch rush, but still seated fast, drinks on the table before the menu even opened. The food came out very fast, but was hot and fresh. Decided on the western cheese steak with wacky fries. It tasted amazing. Had a great smell and taste. Fries did not taste cheap. The selection of beer wine and spirits takes up 3 pages of the 4 page menu. There's a drink here for everyone. Highly suggest everyone try it at least once

I?ve eaten in as well as ordered on delivery from The Refuge. Strangely, it was better on delivery. But it was pretty good both ways. I?ve tried the wiz cheesesteak and the provolone one and would definitely recommend the provolone instead.

Love their pastromi (especially the chunk sized in salad), tasty, flavorful and not dry. Service was great and outdoor seating available!

The first time here, I think they can do better, half the food was cold, which is a little disappointing when it is a burger, and even more disappointing when it is cold pommes. The garlic fried had too much garlic maus that made them bitter. The sandwich was really good, and the soups were delicious. Maybe 5 next time.
