This place excels in all those areas. The service was quick, the food was delicious and not overly salty. I highly recommend it if you find yourself in the medical district and are craving some good Cuban-Mexican food. I had the steak sandwich with fries and a chicken-filled empanada, and both were fantastic!
- 3 servings of mixed corn and flour tortillas - Black roasted beans - Mexican rice (made without chicken stock) - Roasted plantains - Ensalada kubano - Yuca - Complimentary salsa and hot sauce All of this made for a substantial and flavorful meal for two for under $17!
The food was incredible and the service was great. This is the best Mexican cuisine I've experienced since living in San Diego, California. I absolutely loved the Cuban sandwich!
Brand new in the area looking for a new lunch spot near work. My inheritance pulled me here. The service was super, present, but not excessive in my face every five seconds. Food: Just like mine, cook my Tia and Madres. Tasted only Mercedes restaurant back in Yakima, Wa. Authentic, authentic, authentic! I found my new Fav place!
Found this hidden gem while looking for something new. This place was excellent. The owner was friendly and waiting tables. His wife was in the kitchen cooking and also came out and talked to us. The food was very tasteful and authentic. The mole sauce was to die for, which is made from scratch. My husband got the beef fajitas and raved about the flavor and the cut of meat. Also loved the salsa and guacamole. Prices and portions are reasonable. We will definitely return.
