Havana's Pilon - Memphis

I visited on a Friday night around 6 PM, and the restaurant was relatively empty, so I was seated quickly. I ordered the Puerco Asado plate, which comes with two sides, and I chose Red Beans and Yuca. The side dishes were mediocre, but the pork was absolutely fantastic. It was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and just melted in my mouth. The dish also included a salad. I tried a Passion Fruit smoothie as well, which was delicious and had an exotic taste! Overall, I had a very positive experience, and the price was quite reasonable at under $20. I would definitely return if I find myself in Memphis again.

I stopped by this restaurant during my jury duty and had a great experience. Although the space is quite small, the food was excellent. I ordered rotisserie chicken, beans, rice, and dried plantains. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

Wow, this place serves the BEST Latin food in town, especially if you're not craving Mexican! As someone who loves all types of Latin cuisine (I'm half Puerto Rican and half Dominican), I sometimes want to explore beyond Mexican dishes. Discovering this Cuban restaurant in Memphis felt like a little slice of Orlando or New York. I had the steak sandwich with tostones, and it was amazing! I will definitely be coming back for lunch regularly. I also enjoyed a Malta, and they served a fantastic house-made garlic sauce. This restaurant is truly unique—it's the only one of its kind in Memphis!

I don't know how I stumbled across this place but I am so glad I did. They have been here for 5 years already and I am just now finding them; better late than never, suppose. This cozy spot in the heart of downtown has stolen mine. The coladas create a perfect marriage of coffee and milk. The empanadas remind me of my visits to the panaderias in Miami. Be sure to grab a empanada de guayaba!!! You will thank me for it!!!

Excellent food and friendly staff, prices very reasonable. Had the roasted pork with rice and sweet plantains.
