Egg King Cafe - Memphis

We were passing through Memphis to head home to New Mexico. We saw the recommendation of this restaurant and so we stopped. We visited with a couple from Atlanta, they always stop here to eat. Said that we would enjoy it and boy did we! Great food! Excellent wags the way my Grandmother did hers, fantastic!Food: 5/5

First visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the place was family-friendly. My family was under the impression that they closed at 3, but we were informed they closed at 1. The family was in a grieving state, so we stood around a little after 1 o'clock, and the cook was very rude when he asked us to leave. I understand when it's time to go, it's time to get out, but he could have been a little more pleasant. Being rude is bad for business.

Fried chicken pretty good but besides that they’ll have your food sitting up there getting cold. Order chicken and waffles. Came to me hard as a brick. Cook got offended when I asked to get my grits hot because they came out cold. Service is bad??

Amazing food and friendly service! We ordered the chicken and waffle. Best fried chicken I’ve ever had.Their hash brown, biscuits and gravy is also top tier.Before going to Graceland, be sure to stop by for a energy fuel for your trip.
