The Kings Arms - Melton

The food was delicious and bursting with flavor. The staff were friendly and the owner even offered to drive us back to our accommodation when we couldn't find a taxi. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Passed through on a warm afternoon with family and ordered Chips for the kids and ice cream afterwards, we also had drinks but I must say very disappointed with Chips portion sizes especially for the price! Also kids ice cream tubs were small and expensive. A bowl of chips is what kids want so a kid friendly menu would be better for families. A small tub of ice cream for nearly £4 is extortionate! Sadly we haven't returned and its a shame because we would be regulars if menu was better and family friendly. The price we paid for both chip portions could get both my children full meals and a dessert down the road at a pub in Melton so we will continue to do that.

I stayed overnight at this bed and breakfast pub and had a very positive experience. Mark was extremely welcoming when I arrived. Dinner was delicious, and the staff had no issues accommodating my request to leave off the cheese. During breakfast the next morning, the staff even checked if I could eat butter as they suspected I might be dairy intolerant (which I am). The room was very comfortable and there was a fridge outside with milk and bottled water. Overall, this was one of the nicest bed and breakfast pubs I have ever stayed in.
