Wood Fire - Melrose

I wanted to place a takeout order on Friday night, and the restaurant was quite busy. I was warmly welcomed by Gretchen, who directed me to the bar area while I waited for my order. There, I was served by John Carlo, who was friendly, efficient, and provided excellent service. I ordered a pizza and the Pappardelle Bolognese, both of which were delicious. I'm looking forward to visiting again soon!

I met a good friend for dinner here, and the place was buzzing on a Friday night. Fortunately, we managed to snag a table despite the crowd. It’s a bit small, so if you have a larger group, it’s a good idea to make a reservation. I ordered the caprese salad, which was excellent—very fresh and flavorful. It featured slices of ripe tomatoes with fresh mozzarella and basil, accompanied by a side of mixed greens drizzled with balsamic glaze. My friend chose the harvest salad and really enjoyed it as well. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall experience. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. Thank you, Wood and Fire! I will definitely be back.

Friendly staff and seemed to be a popular place. Very extensive local beer offer. Enjoy the Arancini appetizers and salads. Villanova Pizza was also good, though just a bit too hard on the blows

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at this little shop off the main road. The pizza was incredible, with the crust perfectly charred, light, and fluffy, complementing the bold flavors of the tomatoes and basil. The pappardelle pasta was deliciously rich, with a wonderful texture that was both silky and satisfying, paired beautifully with the meat sauce and cheese. The service was warm and inviting, making us feel right at home. A special thanks to the cooks and staff who engaged with us and made us feel so welcome. We loved our visit and will definitely be returning! This is a highly recommended spot to check out in Melrose!

Our first time visiting Wood and Fire Neapolitan Pizzeria in Melrose. Great staff, dinner and desserts. The meat lasagna is delicious and the portion was very generous. For dessert we had the churros with Nutella and we weren’t disappointed. Although the restaurant for seating is small, we didn’t feel cramped next to people and it was overall a great experience. We will come back and try the pizzas next visit. June 2019
