A really nice place for wonderful Thai cuisine. the customer service here is also simply beautiful.
Loved the taste of the penang curry with generous part of the bark meat. the prices are very reasonable, whick makes it very valuable. byo possible for $5 pp. the personal is friendly and easy to go.
Looking for a new restaurant, a friend of mine and I went up and down swan street, and finally took the corner and found this place. it looked nice, so we went in. honestly, the reviews on zomato looked promising. the waiter greeted us and we sat down. the table was beautifully placed. the waiter approached us and took our drink order. my friend looked at the expensive cocktails and asked the waiter 'what he can recommend ' and what are some sweet. the waiter seemed to be guessed, so I asked him they tasted something? . he said no and continued pouring the water. To be honest, it is better to say that they did not taste each, and go through what the people often ordered. Rather than guess. Don't guess if someone asks you to recommend a drink. my friend and I discussed the cocktails as our drinks waiter was unqualified. she leaned on espresso martini, but I suggested to go with all the means of life that we probably order, they could be faster, maybe something unique and a sabai speciality, so....you decided to go with the sabai jai, as the aromes seem subtle, but also go to be beautiful looking with edible flowers. she was so excited....but then when it came. it was so bad, I made a photo. I asked the other waiter who we believe the manager. first he said no, his edible flower syrup. I said why he says edible flowers then he said we ran out. he lied. She wasn't happy. When she was asked if we wanted to reorder, she didn't want to waste it, but she wasn't impressed. she has the squid and I have the red and Satay sauce. Presentation was impressive, roti was a tad oily. the result was good. it is hard to get a satay sauce right, but they have made a good job. We noticed the specials board when ordering the mains. would have been nice if they told us that they had drink specialists and entree specials. their drink specialities were a lychee mojito that I would have def instead of a hot choc. in this phase we realized that their employees were completely unqualified and pay a total of $89....for 2 ppl. they would expect a better service. mains she ordered a 4hr beef rib. pic is attached. sauce was yam. I don't eat meat, but they enjoyed and said the bark is well done. the sauce was not bad, however, but, quite fill. it has indicated on the map that there had Thai aubergines, but no sweat there was no aubergins of any kind. we also ordered a die fry, it was not bad, but when we asked to make it spicy, it seemed that went out of the other ohr. we also ordered jasmine rice. we conclude paid $89 for 2 ppl. unhappy with service, lack of English from one of the waiters, lack of waiting knowledge, not to give honest recommendations regarding drinks. no edible flowers in a drink that contains only 3 ingredients that contain edible flowers. no sweet in the bark ribbon curry, although it says it does. its richmond, a multicultural hub., would not hurt to rent different people. personally his nice that our waiter thai was....but like....he obviously didn't understand us and we enjoyed it when he didn't talk around, as nothing of what he said was honest. for what we have paid, we expect the dishes we have read in the menu to come out as their written contributions. missing ingredients happened three times. we don't come back, but next time we will try the Thai place that don't look that beautiful 2 doors down. not happy with service.
Ambience: the upper floor feels a bit lifeless, but could be just due to COVID rules.Staff: super friendly, quick, and attentive.Food: my pad thai was a slight disappointment. Nothing wrong with it but reading the reviews I was expecting a level up. Huge portions.
