Motorino - Melbourne

This is a little hidden gem in South Kingsville - absolutely delicious food. Plenty of Pizzas and Pastas to choose from and they cater well for families with kids meals and crayons to draw on the table cloths. The Blood Orange Gelato is a must to finish off your meal :-)

We haven't eaten at the restaurant in ages!! ... But, we had a delivery to our home last Friday night. The pizzas are always fresh and tasty. The delivery guy was polite and friendly. Motorino is the best!

Seriously, spend your money elsewhere folks. In all honesty I came here expecting a decent restaurant considering it's apparent popularity in the local area. I was sorely disappointed. To be fair, the presentation of the meals was in fact quite good. A lot of attention was given to the detail and presentation of the food. The taste, while bland was OK ..... nothing spectacular. What failed was the actual PREPARATION of the food. I know a good restaurant from a bad one and it all comes down to the cleanliness of cooking utensils and the way the food is prepared. Good restaurants leave me feeling fine. The only restaurants which disappoint are often indian ones and others that serve processed food at cold and luke warm temperatures. When I arrived home after the meal I was on the toilet for nearly 1 hour. It was shocking. A good restaurant never leaves me this way. This is not a sporadic occurrence as I've even visited doctors to confirm the case as I have no alergies. It only occurs at restaurants which do not have proper systems in place to ensure cleanliness of cooking tools and workbench surfaces. Obviously there must be a gap somewhere in the process of cooking the food as I was left with severe diarrhea afterwards. At the end of the day, food from dominos or a crummy little italian takeway would be better than this. Often in Yaraville and other inner city suburbs there are people who come straight out of uni thinking they have all the wealth of experience and know how as the old italians do. You're wrong. Staff serving the tables were excellent, no problems there but someone in the kitchen needs to learn basic food hygine

A last minute booking for 2 families with kids on a Saturday night. They easily and happily organised a table of 7 to accommodate us. We ordered the meatballs and baked boccocini as starters to share. For main the kids had Margarita pizza and Hawaiian pizza. Adults had the "special" zucchini pizza, the Tuscan sausage pizza and the beetroot

We Loved this place. A little diamond just sitting there in kingsville, being amazing. We visited on a busy Friday night with our three young kids and a Japanese student who is staying with us. It was a hit all round. Delicious pizzas for the bambinos and plain pasta for the little one. We had a margarita pizza and a funghi pizza with a beautiful salad followed by rich chocolate ice cream for the kids and a flipping amazing pear, custard and cream pizza for the adults. The service was fantastic, great waiters and waitresses who were really engaged with the kids and us and cherry on the top- the kids can draw all over the paper table cloths with crayons provided by the restaurant. Outside of Seddon there aren't many places as awesome as this in the west.
