Cafe Cui - Melbourne

Food looked and tasted so good I didn't want to waste time taking a picture of it, I had to eat it right away! The staff where very friendly, highly recommend the smashed avocado eggs on toast and their chai latte.

Polite, clean, convenient location. The food is spot on, reasonably priced and the coffee was so good I had to order another, larger cup. Oh, and free WiFi!

The staff were great. They were interested in me and what I needed. My toasted sandwich and coffee were delicious and well priced. The location at the end of the #82 tram route and opposite Footscray railway station were a bonus. Tim Buckley's "Greetings from LA" in the background was a bonus, while I read their newspapers. There is a Vietnamese influence on the food and drink, but it is not a strong one.

I partook of coffee at Café Cui this afternoon with a family member whilst we waited for my partner to arrive from the city.On his arrival, he came over to our table. Clearly this was an affront to the ungracious woman behind the counter who shrieked at him and called for wildly gesturing reinforcements from the galley!Why a café staff member would treat a well dressed professional man with such alarm and disrespect is beyond me. Was she afraid he'd lower the tone of the café by sitting? Even after indicating he was collecting his family, Madam continued her abuse.I've been ruded at all over the world, but the cacophony from this harpy is worthy of an Australian Championship Inhospitality Award.Avoid the joint!

We stopped in for a drink with friends. The staff were helpful and we were served quickly. The herb fries were nice.
