Baldovino - Melbourne

The Food and service was great. Deserts are a bit pricey, they should tell you the prices. It was very quiet the evening when were there, which was great! Asked for the music to be turned down, with no complaints from the staff.

I was invited to Baldovino for dinner as a guest by some friends, and again we were treated so well that it was a pleasure to have the most enjoyable experience. Every dish that was served was cooked to perfection. The service from the waiters was excellentI am coming back Thank you Azzura and all the staff for a fantastic welcoming a lovely meal

We arrived at 7pm and were the only ones in the restaurant.. scary . Fortunately 3 more tables arrived at 8pm. But we were placed at the back of the restaurant out of sight of passing trade... not very clever.Food was only passable and would have been fine for a regular Italian. In other words the mains at 0ver $30 were just not up to scratch. I had home made agnolotti filled with prawn and lobster meat, which should have been lovely, but it was drowned in a tomato sauce that was over burdened with whole pepper corns. Not sure what the peppercorns were supposed to disguise but it was almost impossible to taste anything else on the plate. All meals were only average and some were a good portion and others were too small.

We had a fantastic time. Danieli, Annalise and Aleeda were very attentive to all our needs. We had one Vegan, one Celiac and a Vegetarian amongs our group, all of whom were catered for without a problem. We opted for multiple entree followed by a main meal of your choice. We brought our own wine and cake. By the time we got through the delicious entrees there was not much room left for the equally tasty mains. I would highly recommend this place for a group of 20.

Beautiful family run restaurant right in the heart of Thornbury. Wonderful, attentive and genuinely gorgeous staff with incredibly delicious food to match. Will definitely dine here again!
