We stopped by for lunch after exploring the Cathedral earlier in the day. Despite being a small coffee shop, they had a surprisingly large variety of food and drinks to choose from. We were impressed by this. We ordered 2 coffees; I tried a white mocha for the first time and found it to be delicious. We also each had a sandwich and shared a large piece of cake, which was too much for us to finish on our own. The price of our meal was very reasonable and the quality was excellent. We will definitely be coming back. The staff were friendly and the place was very clean!
The café has recently undergone a renovation and it looks amazing. The menu has been updated to include freshly made focaccia and ciabatta sandwiches, a refreshing change from other places on the High Street. There is no plastic in sight, which is great to see. Our sandwiches were delicious and priced at only £5.50 each, offering great value. The coffee is just as good as before. In the past, this place was a tired bakery café, but now after the refurbishment, it looks much better. The best part is that the restroom no longer smells like nappies. The only downside is that there are steps leading down to the café, meaning disabled customers may have to sit outside.
Nice independent store on the high street the service was nice and polite. The coffee is good quality my dark chocolate was not very dark and was very sweet . Toilets could be better. You can pay with card and cash.
