Pompei's State Street Sandwiches

I really wish I had taken a photo, but it didn't cross my mind at the time. I ordered the State Street cutlet, and it was absolutely amazing. The whiskey-battered onion rings were fantastic as well. The restaurant was clean, and the guy at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. This was my first visit, and I will definitely return to sample more items from the menu. Hidden gem in media! Hand carved roast beef is amazing the meatballs are right up there with it! The wedge salad is a great addition to any sandwich. We had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The sandwiches were generously filled with delicious ingredients. My husband and I tried the Reuben and the Rachel, both of which were fantastic. The sandwiches came with delicious fries on the side. You place your order, and the staff brings your sandwiches or salads to the table. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the employees truly went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable.

Stopped in midafternoon on a Saturday. SUPER sweet staff, clean restaurant, and great food. My son and I split the Turkey panini, and my friend and her son split the cheesesteak. We had just gone to a famous cheesesteak place in center city the day before, and she said that this place’s sandwich was way better than the famous one. We’ll be back!
