Nijiya Sushi - Medford

This is likely our favorite sushi spot in the Boston area because of the quality and quantity you receive for the price! For just $30, you can enjoy a wide range of sashimi, maki rolls, and appetizers, most of which are delicious. The quality of certain dishes and ingredients can vary from day to day; occasionally, the fish might not seem as fresh, or some appetizers may not be as appealing. However, considering the price, I would definitely say it's worth it!

I would give 5 stars for the variety of dishes offered. The prices deserve a full 5 stars as well. The restaurant is clean, so that's another 5 stars. The service was excellent, also earning a top rating of 5 stars. However, I'd rate the quality of the food at 3.5 stars. The salad was just average, although the dressing was tasty. The spring rolls were a bit too indulgent but still enjoyable. The tempura was decent; however, the shrimp were hard to find. I'll definitely give it another try next time. The Crazy Maki was okay, as was the Tempura Shrimp Maki. While the flavors were good overall, the shrimp were quite small.

This restaurant is similar to Yamato in downtown Boston, but the sushi here is tastier and the salmon is fresher (and more affordable). If you're looking for a wider selection and ice cream, be sure to come for dinner or be prepared to pay the dinner price.

This fantastic Mainstay in downtown Medford is one of our favorite spots for affordable and delightful sushi. The staff is attentive and charming, and the food is expertly prepared, from eel to surf clams. It's simple yet absolutely top-notch.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The sushi was enjoyable, featuring a wide variety of options. The salmon sashimi was a bit inconsistent; when it was fresh, it was excellent, but at times it could be a bit on the cold side. Their special makis were generally quite tasty. The appetizers were nicely portioned, ensuring you don’t overeat. The service was also quite good, although we did have to wait a while for our food to arrive, but it was definitely worth it. I would absolutely return here again!
